The Chilkur Balaji temple, popularly known as ‘Visa Balaji’ temple is one of the famous temples that is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara. The temple is located on the banks of Osman Sagar Lake in Hyderabad.

It is one of the oldest temples in Hyderabad built during the time of Madanna ana Akkanna who were the uncles of Bhakta Ramadas. Lord Venkateshwara is the main deity of the temple and He graces the devotees along with His consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi.

The temple has gained popularity in the 1980s when a group of Software Engineering students from Chennai claimed to have received their US Visa successfully after visiting this temple.
