This temple holds the record of having maximum shrines in India. It will take at least one full day to see all the important features and shrines of the temple.

• Lord Runa Vimochana Perumal relieves His devotees from debt burdens and ailments.Devotees go to Lord Shiva temple on every Monday evening between 4.30 to 6.00 PM in the evening. This particular puja is called as “Somavar Puja”. Devotees perform abhisekam with the raw rice powder to the Lord Shiva as a parihara for reducing the debts. Devotees believe that they will get complete relief from debts after the completion of 11 weeks of Prayer to Lord Shiva.
