Shree Rama Kshetra
  • Shree Rama Kshethra is noteworthy for its scenic beauty.
  • Shri Shri Athmananda Saraswathi Swamiji is the founder of this magnificent temple Complex. He is the disciple of Shri Nithyananda swamiji. Shri Athmananda Saraswathi swamiji served his master at 'Ganeshpuri in Thane' district of Mumbai.During the association with his master, his Guru had expressed his wish to shri Athmananda Saraswathi Swamiji to have a 'Rama' temple constructed in Dharmasthala village.He got a small thatched building constructed in which he started "Bhagavan Shri Nithyananda Mandir".Soon devotees started gathering at the mandir. "Rama Bhajana Sapthaha" is conducted here everyyear for seven days culminating in the grand festival of "Shri Rama Navami". Thousands of devotees of Shri Rama from far and near have come to gather here and chanting the Rama Taraka Mantra dancing around the"Nanda Deepa" .
  • There are 36 different idols installed under the same roof.

Shri Bhagwan Bahubali Digambar Jain Statue
  • The statue of Gommateshvara Bahubali at Shravanabelagola is one of the most important tirthas (pilgrimage destinations) in Jainism.
  • Shravanabelagola "White Pond of the Shravana" is named with reference to the colossal image of Gommaṭa.
  • The 58-feet tall monolithic statue of Gommateshvara is located on Vindyagiri Hill.
  • It is considered to be the world's largest monolithic stone statue.
  • Every twelve years, thousands of devotees congregate here to perform the Mahamastakabhisheka.
  • The next Mahamastakabhisheka will be held in 2018.
  • The Statue is called as 'Statue of Gommateshvara' by the Kannada people of Karnataka, but the Jains refer to the same as "Bahubali".

Sri Chandranathaswamy Basadi
  • Shri Chandranatha Swamy Basadi, is a famous Jain temple, which was established by Pergage and his family to offer puja adjacent to the Beedu.
  • The shrine in this temple is worshipped, which is located on a small mound to this day.
  • This is also considered a holy shrine of Digambara.
  • The tiled- roof dwelling of Nelyadi Beedu, is dedicated to the four Devathas that has no idols.
  • This is the original abode of the Heggades and the Dharma Daivas.
  • It is believed that people pray here are blessed to Fulfill Wishes, Prosperty.

Sri Manjunathaswamy Temple
  • Dharmasthala Temple is an 800-year-old religious institution in the temple town of Dharmasthala.
  • The deities of the temple are Shiva, who is referred to as Mañjunatha, Ammavaru, the tirthankara Chandraprabha and the protective gods of Jainism, Kalarahu, Kalarkayi, Kumarasvami and Kanyakumari.
  • The temple is considered unique since it belongs to the Shaiva sect of Hinduism.The priests are Shivalli Brahmins, who are Vaishnava and the administration is run by a Jain Bunt family called the Pergades.
  • To fight against the dowry system and to cut unnecessary expenses involved in the celebration of marriages, Dr. Veerendra Heggade started free mass marriages in 1972 and the annual mass marriages are held usually during April every year.
  • The expenses of the wedding dress, Mangalsutra and wedding feast for a limited number of the couple's guests are borne by the Kshetra.
  • The average flow of pilgrims is about 10,000 people every day.
  • The "Anna Daana"(free food) is one of the impressive events that takes place in this village.

  • Sri Janardhanaswamy Temple is one of the main attraction of Ujire town.
  • Ujire is Known for its Scenic Beauty.
  • The temple is dedicated to Lord Janardhana (Vishnu).
  • This is 800-year-old temple and featured as one of the oldest temples of South Canara or Dakshina Kannada district.

Shree Sadashiva Rudra Temple
  • Shree Sadashiva Rudra Temple is very near to Ujire.
  • Even though the temple is called Sadashiva Rudra Devasthana, it is popular and famous as “ SURYA” Temple.
  • Legend as to how the place got the name “SURYA”. Once upon a time, a woman was chopping grass with her son, when she hit a stone. Blood started oozing out from the stone she had hit. Afraid at seeing blood from the stone, the woman cried out “SUREYA” to her son. After the incident the place was named SUREYA, which gradually became “SURIYA” and finally “SURYA” as called now.
  • As said by the Archakaru, Initially when you are making sankalpa (offering you wanted go & do there) need not go there, from your place only you can do the sankalpa. Once your sankalpa fulfilled you can go there & do the offerings.
  • The offerings are available in temple premises only & they are clay Sculptures of your request (Like if you want job you can offer a chair & table, if its marriage you should offer Vadu vara, if its ear or eyes problem offer ear or eye Sculptures like wise).

Shishileshwara Temple
  • Shishileshwara temple situated in a remote village - Shishila.
  • Lord Shiva is worshipped in this rocky temple in the form of ‘Udbhava Linga’.
  • Lord Shishileshwara has made his long ranged presence at the bank of river Kapila.
  • It is believed that tribals found the Linga centuries back in the nearby hill ‘Kumara Gudda,’ where the Linga was worshipped for quite a long time. One fine morning, the Linga appeared in the current temple place to make it convenient for the priest to perform the daily rituals. Even today on the last day of the temple fair, the priest along with the villagers visits the original place where the Linga was found and performs the religious rituals.
  • The fishes are fed by devotees and the temple governance. You may find relief from all kinds of skin diseases by feeding these holy fish group up near the rocky footstep to the river kapila.

Kukke Subramaniyar Temple
  • Kukke Subramanya is a Hindu temple located in the village of Subramanya.Here Kartikeya is worshipped as Subramanya, lord of all serpents.
  • The epics relate that the divine serpent Vasuki and other serpents found refuge under Subramanya when threatened by the Garuda.
  • Overlooking the temple is the famous mountain of Kumara Parvatha, a popular hiking destination for trekkers from across South India.
  • Kumara Parvatha forms a picture-perfect backdrop to the temple entrance and the Shesha Parvatha (a mountain shaped like a six-headed mythological serpent, adjacent to Kumara Parvatha) looks like a cobra with its open hood, as if protecting the temple shrine of Lord Subramanya.
  • Pilgrims going to the temple have to cross the Kumaradhara River and take a holy dip in the river before entering the temple for their darshan.
  • There is the Garuda pillar covered with silver. Devotees circumambulate this pillar.
  • It is believed that this pillar was enchanted and planted there to shield devotees from the poisonous flames arising from the breath of Vasuki, who resides inside.
  • Ashlesha Bali Pooja & Sarpa Samskara are two important Sarpa Dosha Poojas are done at Kukke Subramanya Temple.
