Agneeshwar Temple
- Lord Agneeswarar graces facing west against the traditional direction of east.
- A unique feature of the Shivling is that water is collected around the Shivling to calm down the fire or agni effect of Agneeswarar.
- The sanctum sanctorum of the temple was built with stones during the rule of Rajaraja Chola II covering the years 1146-1163.
