Nachiyar Koil, Thirunarayur
Nachiyar Koil or Thirunarayur Nambi Temple is an ancient hindu temple dedicated to the Lord Vishnu and his consort Lakshmi. The temple is located at Thirunarayur, a village near Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. The presiding deity is worshipped as Srinivasa Perumal and his consort as Vanchulavalli Nachiyar. At this temple, the mother Goddess receives more attention and preference compared to the Lord. This temple is one of the 108 divyadesams dedicated to Vishnu. This temple is the place where Lord Vishnu is believed to have initiated Pancha Samskara (religious initiation) to Thirumangai Azhwar.

Pooja Details:
Performing archana to Kal Garudar every Thursday for 7 consecutive weeks is believed to bestow the devotees with marriage boon, gives relief from Navasarpa dosha and Navagraha dosha. Devotees willing to do so, may pay a sum of Rs.360 directly in person at the temple office. For those unable to visit the temple, a sum of Rs.360 can be sent through money order to the below mentioned address. Devotees will receive the prasadam from the temple by post once the archana is completed.
